The material is stored in the Archive of the Austrian Academy of Sciences in 47 boxes. The whole material has been scanned on 7 CD-ROMs for the purpose of this project. The advantages of scanning are manifold. The original paper sheets are of a very large format and of poor paper quality, while on the computer screen they are in a better readable form (better contrasts and zooming possibilities) and copies of these CD-ROMs are easily made.
